what

In the summer of 2017, Tara and Andrew, a young(ish) married couple living in Seattle, Washington decided to take on the formidable task of reviewing every* movie that they had yet to see from the Scarecrow Video Movie Guide, selected entirely at random on a weekly basis. This serialized 3,726 part podcast is the chronicle of their journey. Where most movie podcasts come in swinging with an axe to grind or some other agenda they’re striving for, we here at Tara and Andrew Versus The Scarecrow Movie Guide adopt a blank slate when it comes to considering the movies chosen for us by fate. As blank a slate as one can have, at any rate— you can’t have totally neutral feelings about Pink Flamingos or Cannibal Holocaust, for example.

Scarecrow Video

Seattle's, and quite possibly the world's best video store. We may not be affiliated with them, but that's not going to stop us from telling you to go there and give them your money. For those interested, you can purchase a copy of the guide for yourselves here.

BOAT

The Pacific Northwest's finest purveyors of sloppy pop music. We love BOAT, and not just because they were kind enough to let us use "Lately (I've Been On My Back)" in the podcast. If you like BOAT, you should also check out Unlikely Friends, which is the new band that half(ish) the members of BOAT are in now, because they are also great.

*probably not actually EVERY movie, but y'know, whatever
